I have been camping for most of my life, thanks to adventurous parents. My passion for exploring Australia never seems to wane; there is so much to see, so much to experience. I fell into travel writing after I produced a web page for friends that described to them where I had been and what I had done.
This was way before blogging was a “thing” but it did the job. Fast forward a few years and, out of the blue, I contacted the editor of a camper trailer magazine and told him about a trip we were about to undertake, he liked it and told me to put something together when I got home. I didn’t know how to “pitch”, “copy” or “editorialise” an article, I just knew how to convey my love of travel into words and add imagery to help tell the story.
Now, I am freelance writing full-time and couldn’t be happier. With the backing of my beautiful wife, I have grown into the writer, photographer and adventurer that I am now. I am still learning and the brand is certainly still growing, but I am on my way to where I want to be. I recently became an associate writer member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers and TravMedia, which has helped my growth.
I’ve had articles and photographs published in Australian magazines including Unsealed 4×4 and RV Daily (Pat Callinan Media Pty Ltd), Caravan World (Adventures Group Holdings), Loaded 4×4 (Lost Track Media Pty Ltd), Adventure-SUV (Mayne Media), Go Camping Australia (Vink Publishing), Caravan and Motorhome on Tour and Camper Trailer Touring (EMG).
I will continue doing what I love: Living the dream, Sharing the Experience.
